Support
How can we help?
Write to contact@hobbiary.app. A person reads every message.
Do I need an account?
No. The diary works fully on your phone without an account and without a connection. An account is only needed for Rooms, which are part of Premium.
Where is my diary stored?
In Hobbiary’s private storage on your phone. If iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup is on, your operating system may include it in its device backup. We cannot see or reach those backups.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
- On the old phone, open Profile and choose Export backup file. Save the file somewhere you control.
- On the new phone, open Profile, choose Import backup file and pick the file.
- Check the preview, then choose to merge with or replace what is on the new phone.
Backup files are plain, unencrypted JSON and do not contain photos. Keep them somewhere private.
I lost my phone. Can you restore my diary?
Not for local-only use: no copy exists on our side to restore from. Your operating-system backup or an exported file is the way back. If you use Rooms and migrated your diary to your account, signing in on the new phone brings the account copy back.
How do I delete my data?
To erase the diary on your phone, open Profile and choose Reset all Hobbiary data. To delete a Rooms account and its cloud data, follow Delete your account.
How do I cancel or get a refund for a subscription?
Plus and Premium are sold by the App Store and Google Play, so they are managed in your store account:
- iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
- Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions.
A cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the paid period. Refunds are decided by Apple or Google under their own policies. Deleting your Hobbiary account does not cancel a subscription.
Someone in a room is behaving badly
Use Report message on the message, or Block user to hide their messages and keep you out of each other’s rooms. A moderator reviews every report. If someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first; Hobbiary has no emergency function.
