Delete your account

Delete it in the app

1. Open Profile and choose Open social access.
2. Under Delete social account, send a fresh verification code to your email and enter it.
3. Type DELETE MY ACCOUNT and choose Schedule account deletion.

Deletion is carried out seven days later. Until then you can cancel it from the same screen.

Can’t use the app?

Email contact@hobbiary.app from the address your account uses, with the subject “Account deletion”. We confirm the request with that address and schedule the same deletion as the app.

What is deleted

• Your verified account, including your email address and phone number
• Your profile and the diary copy you migrated to your account
• Your registered devices, room memberships and the rooms you organised
• Your chat messages, reports, appeals and blocks

What is kept

• A record of moderation decisions, such as a hidden message or a suspension, stays with the reason given but no longer points to your account.
• Reports other members filed stay in their history, with the link to your account removed.
• Purchase records are held by Apple or Google under their own policies. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in your store account.

What account deletion does not reach

The diary on your phone, files you exported and operating-system backups are yours and stay until you remove them. To erase the diary on your phone, open Profile and choose Reset all Hobbiary data.
