Child safety standards

Hobbiary is for adults. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Adults only

Hobbiary is intended only for people aged 18 and over. Rooms, the only place where members can contact each other, also require a verified email address, a verified phone number and a confirmation that the member is an adult.

What is prohibited

Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers a child, including CSAM in any form
Grooming, or attempting to contact or meet a minor
Using a room or a chat to arrange contact with a minor
Sharing information that could identify or locate a child at risk

Room chat carries text only; members cannot send images or files to each other.

How to report

In a room, use Report message on any message. You can also write to us at contact@hobbiary.app with the subject “Child safety”. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

What we do

Reports are reviewed by moderators, who can hide messages, close rooms, remove members and suspend accounts.
Accounts involved in CSAE are suspended and their content removed.
We report CSAM and credible threats to children to the relevant authorities, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or national law enforcement, and cooperate with lawful requests.
